TRIATHLON TRAINING

Boston Triathlon Club offers the chance to try something new. Whether experienced in Triathlon or just starting out, exciting and fun training sessions in all disciplines can help you improve skills and gain confidence. We welcome new comers but request they join the club after 2 sessions.

MONDAY

Group Road Run

Meeting in the car park at Geoff Moulder Leisure.
Group Road Run (6 – 8 mile), pace dependant on group needs.

Weather appropriate clothing, trainers
Enough water/fluids for an hours exercise.
Head Torch in winter months

THURSDAY

Running/Track Training

We meet at the Princess Royal at 7pm for a variety of intensity training which takes the body through hard active recovery before moving onto distance work. Because we go from hard run/sprints the long run pace feels easier and is faster than your usual pace.

FRIDAY

Swimming

Junior Swimming is at the Geoff Moulder Leisure Pool – Booked in advanced in blocks of 5
Adult Swimming is at the Geoff Moulder Training Pool
Both provide a full hour of coached swimming drills which cater for all abilities.

  • Juniors   6:00 – 7:00PM
  • Adults    7:30 – 8:30PM
  • Juniors £15.00 for 5 sessions
  • Adults  £5.00 per session

Essentials:
Swim suit/trunks
Goggles
Enough water/fluids for an hours exercise.

Pool Buoy
Float Board

SATURDAY

Juniors Coached Session

With our future stars, our expert coach works on foot position, arm and head position with less distance intensity. Juniors and adolescents don’t expel heat in the same way as adults so the training is finely tuned to cater for this. This is held at the Princess Royal Sports Arena.

Adult Beginners Road Cycle / Turbo Session

Adult Wolds Ride (3rd Saturday of the month, Jun/Jul/Aug/Sep/Oct)

This is for competent riders to develop power stamina & how to get up and down hills.
35 – 40 miles, if you are unsure on ability then it would be worth attending a Tuesday night to see if you would be suitable but you should be able to hold a 16mph minimum on the flat for 20 miles.
