Members of Boston Triathlon where up early this Sunday for another of Eddie Smiths Boxing Bootcamps.
The sessions hosted by The Boston Amateur Boxing Club (Boston A.B.C.) and run by Eddie Smith (Boxing Coach, Triathlon Activator and Marathon/Half Marathon training God) are ever popular.
This session however was as little different, Boston A.B.C. had kindly donated their Gym space to Boston Triathlon for the morning as part of the Tri clubs fundraising for Sarcoma UK.
The event was well attended by both adult and junior members of the club alike. Eddie didn’t let the charitable nature of the event affect the training, in fact the 1 1/2 hour session pushed all to the limit.
Rather than the usual session fee, attendees were asked to make a donation to the Sarcoma Charity. At the end of the set £100 in donations had been raised, Boston A.B.C. very kindly donated a further £100. No matter how different the sport, at times like this sporting families all come together for a common goal.
As a club we are all coming together to help raise awareness about this horrible disease, and are encouraged by the support shown by local sporting groups. As well as Boston A.B.C, our Triathlon neighbours Skegness Triathlon Club and Louth Triathlon Club are also joining us in support of Sarcoma UK. Together we can help kick cancers arse through sport.

Our thanks again go to Eddie, his support team and Boston A.B.C. for putting on the event.
