Lincolnshire Cross Country League at Gypsy Bridge

The 28th October saw Match Two of the Lincolnshire Cross Country League being held at Castledyke Equestrian Centre, Gipsey Bridge, Boston.

Boston Triathlon Club again was well represented following the good showing at Match one. The ground underfoot was reasonably firm and the rain held off (mostly). While the bridal ways and field edges around the equestrian centre proved a tougher challenge than Match one at Oscars Plantation it was the icy and murky depths of the infamous water trough that separated the tough from the meek. The first pass through only confirming the horrors of the muddy soup that lay ahead on subsequent laps.

All the Boston Tri athletes however took this in their stride and again performed admirably.

Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross League Round 7

The seventh round of the Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross League took place in Louth this weekend.

Lincolnshire Cyclo-Cross Association hosted the event at Hubbards Hills Farm in the heart of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

A fatigue inducing course ensured good racing. With burning thighs and screaming lungs competitors had to navigate the hills and mud of the Louth countryside.

Oliver Aiken representing Boston Triathlon Club finished 23rd overall and 11th in category (Under 14 Boys) completing 5 laps in a time of 29:18
