OSB Events are now renowned for putting on well organised, professional events over the East Midlands region and Woodhall this year was another demonstration of how to get 900 entries from an open air outdoor pool through a tricky populated transition area – out onto the open Lincolnshire roads for a 15mile bike section and then followed by a hot 5km run finishing with a segment past a fish and chip shop!

Boston Triathlon Club took the new Truckmasters sponsored large Gazebo and a support team of nearly 50 juniors and adults to bring added atmosphere to the event.

The club had over 30 entries to the event – which included multiple relay teams (one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner) gave certain individuals a small taste of triathlon and a chance for juniors aged 9+ to take part in the local event.

Fantastic swims from Grace Kenning, Grace Satchwell, Reian Ward, Jo Lovell,  Linda Rands, Anna Satchwell, Lewis smith and Lucy Taylor saw there relay teams to a flying start to allow parents and friends to cross the line in a respectful time!

Friends of Sibsey School also  entered a strong team with Miles Beagles putting his swim against the best triathletes in the county.

Individual efforts saw a flurry of personal bests and achievements – Craig Oliver passing the line in an impressive time to take second place in his age category, Liz Cannon after a stumble on the bike still regaining composure to claim 3rd place in her section… But the star of the show Katie Ball was in impressive form with a age group win and series championship title.

The support and atmosphere on the day ended in a Prosecco celebration!
