Last July Boston Triathlon Club first took a team to take part in the OSB events Holkham Outlaw Half… It was such a good event that we decided to return and take on the challenge AGAIN this year!!

The Half distance event starts at 6am on Sunday morning with a 1900 meter Open Water lake swim followed by a 56 mile country lane cycle ride finishing with a 13.1 mile 3 loop run of the beautiful grounds of Holkham Hall… If the above doesn’t sound appealing.. the last 50m of the event is down red carpet with a celebration finish and the opportunity to complete the race with young ones by your side – OSB events are the only brand which currently allow this!

Stand out performances –

Nick Ward smashing the old Boston Tri club record with a time of 4 hours 55min – a massive PB from last year.

Julian Herriott in preparation for the Full event in a months time recorded a PB and a comfortable race to build his confidence for following months race.

Steve Bourne and Chris Firth – First timers to the event.. Chris Firth’s first time at this distance – both guys completed the event with respectful times to beat next year!

Liz Cannon – The mighty Atom.. smashing her PB to show that ‘There is determination in small packages’

Kimberley Bolland – First timer to this distance and this event – Fantastic achievement and I understand completed saying ‘that was easy’ ……………..

Adam Sellers – Tough race, had 3 Punctures and a bike accident on the cycle phase – but battled through the pain to complete the race.

Jamie Stanton.. New to triathlon but defiantly not new to endurance sport, a massive stepping stone for Jamie and will be just the start of his long distance triathlon adventure!
